Hi! Welcome to my website. If you’re here you probably want to learn a little bit more about me and whether or not I’m someone you may connect with in therapy. My friends describe me as someone that’s humorous, empathetic, and honest in a way that makes me their go-to person when they need someone frank and up front. I like to think I’ve mastered the skill of being open and honest while maintaining a gentleness with my patients. I want everyone I talk to to feel supported and comfortable. My office is your space to always feel safe.
My Education and Work Experiences
I was born and raised in Dundee, Michigan, but left to attend graduate school at SUNY Albany in New York. There I obtained a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I was soon back in the area when I interned at the Detroit VA Hospital. Warmer weather called my name, and I was soon in the sunshine state where I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the addictions and general mental health. Following this, I spent five years with the Pittsburgh VA Healthcare system as a staff Psychologist. At the VA, I specialized in treating women in a medical setting. I also honed my skills in health psychology. My broad background has made me an excellent generalist. I enjoy working with a variety of people of different backgrounds and presenting issues.
